He Momoto Gorgiazul (Momotus Lessonii), with its distinctive plumage in green and blue tones, it is one of the most beautiful and emblematic inhabitants of the tropical forests of Central America. Its most striking feature is the blue strip that surrounds its throat and the "hammer head" and curved peak. This elegant bird inhabits wet forest areas, where it poses in the low branches and observes its surroundings while looking for small insects and fruits that complement their diet.

In this piece of our collection Volcanoes, he Momoto Gorgiazul has been recreated 100% by hand by our artisans in detail in molten glass, capturing the living blue and green tones of its plumage and its distinctive color strip around the throat. Mounted on a basis of Conacaste wood whose form reminds us of a hill that represents the solidity and connection with the natural habitat of the bird, this work is a tribute to the beauty and diversity of tropical forests. Behind your base we delicately recorded the name of this species and the signature of our artist Margarita Llort that reminds us of its authenticity.

By acquiring this piece, not only do you bring home an artistic representation of this unique species, but also collaborate in the conservation of their habitats, thanks to the alliance of Showral with Salvanatura. This Momoto is an invitation to appreciate and protect the nature that surrounds us.
