He Blue tail hummingbird (Amazilia Cyanura) It is a jewel of the forests of Central America, recognizable for its brilliant green plumage and its tail of an intense blue color. This little hummingbird, in addition to its beauty, is fundamental in the ecosystem, since it helps to pollute various species of plants in its daily search for nectar. Its colorful glow and its fast and precise flight make it a symbol of vitality and natural balance.
In this unique piece, made by hand by our Salvadoran artisans, the blue tail hummingbird has been created in Mixed molten glass technique, blown glass and glass powders, capturing the intensity of its colors and the delicacy of its shape. The figure is mounted on a base of Conacaste wood carved in the form of two volcanoes, which symbolize the natural landscapes of the Volcanes of Izalco and Santa Ana in El Salvador. . One of these volcanoes is decorated with a delicate branch of mature mangoes, a tribute to tropical fruits that feed this and other species. Behind the base, we have carefully recorded the name of this species together with the signature of our artist Margarita Llort, guaranteeing the authenticity of each work.
