The orchids of the Land of Volcanas de Vitrales El Salvador are an artistic celebration of biodiversity that blooms on the heights of Los Volcanes National Park, where the green hill and the volcanoes of Santa Ana and Izalco converge. Inspired by the native species that inhabit these nebulous forests, each of the pieces captures the essence and color of the orchids that embellish this Salvadoran region.
Hand made by mixed glass art techniques including molten glass, blowing and application of glass powders, these orchids have a chromatic palette that goes from intense red to combinations of white, purple and beige with crimson flashes. Each flower is mounted on a Conacaste wood base, evoking the forms and textures of the volcanic terrain, and has recorded the signature of the artist Margarita Llort, guaranteeing its authenticity and singularity.
In addition to being a tribute to the beauty and diversity of native orchids, each piece has been prepared 100% by hand by our Salvadoran artisans and reflects our commitment to sustainability. - Care: For cleaning it moistens a cloth with cleaning and rubbing carefully. You can also use warm water, a little soft soap and two tablespoons of vinegar to clean and remove the most rebellious spots or simply dirt. Remember to dry it after cleaning. You can use a piece of fabric or suede to rub and shine. Remember, friction can cause damage to the glass in its upper layer, avoid strong or rough fries. Avoid manipulation of the piece by glass, always take it from its wooden base or metal assembly to avoid detaching it. Do the same when taking it out of your packaging.
