The Red Tangara (Rammphocelus Passerinii) It is one of the most dazzling birds of tropical forests in Central America, characterized by its intense scarlet red plumage. This species is found in wet jungle areas and forest edges, where it stands out as a jewel between the lush vegetation. Feeding mainly of fruits and insects, the red tangara plays an essential role in the ecological balance of its habitat, contributing to the dispersion of seeds and the control of insect populations.

This piece, made 100% by hand in molten glass, captures the vitality and intensity of its plumage, with each fragment carefully worked to reflect the living red tones characteristic of this species. Mounted on a base of Conacaste wood that in its form reminds us of the Cerro Verde, the piece represents the natural environment of the tangara, integrating the delicacy of the glass with the solidity and nobility of the wood. Behind the wood we delicately recorded the name of this species and the signature of our artist Margarita Llort that reminds us of its authenticity.

When acquiring this collection piece, you are contributing to the preservation of ecosystems that give home to the Red Tangara and other tropical species, thanks to our collaboration with the Foundation Salvanatura. This piece symbolizes not only the beauty of biodiversity, but also our commitment to keep it.
