The Western tangara (Tangara Vitriolina) is one of the most colorful birds of forests and mountainous areas of Central America and South America. Its plumage is distinguished by a bright reddish head, an intense yellow chest and black wings, creating a contrast that makes this species stand out between tropical foliage. This small bird inhabits wet jungles and at the edges of the forests, where it feeds mainly of fruits, playing a key role in the dispersion of seeds and in the equilibrium of the ecosystem.

Our piece, made 100% by hand in molten glass, captures the vitality of the Western tangara In its intense colors, with each section of its plumage represented in vivid tones of red, yellow and black. Mounted on a base of Conacaste wood shaped like a small hill, behind which we delicately recorded the name of this species and the signature of our artist Margarita Llort that reminds us of its authenticity.

With the purchase of this piece, you contribute to the work of Salvanatura in the protection of ecosystems that make possible the existence of species such as Western tangara. This work is not only a celebration of the diversity and color of our birds, but also an invitation to preserve your natural home.
